Hallo,

Ik heb net mijn DS214play binnen, maar ik merk dat hij (DSM 4.3-3810 Update 1) geen exFAT ondersteund.
De nieuwe SD 64GB+ kaarten (SDXC UHS-I) voeren dit, dan dat is wel jammer als dat niet gebruikt kan worden. Je wilt met de techniek toch bij de tijd zijn, daarom had ik ook deze nieuwe generatie NAS gekocht.

Ik heb ook een USB3 reader die de kaart ondersteund en dat werk prima onder Win7.
In DSM 4.3 wordt wel de kaart of de kaart in de reader wel gezien/herkend, maar meldt bij de gegevens type bestandsysteem niet ondersteund.

Is er een manier om dit wel werkend te krijgen?
Kan er anders in een nieuwe versie exFAT ondersteuning komen?

Zou dus een request indienen, of even wachten op DSM 5 Beta, volgens mij in januari, wie weet.....Syno laat nog niets los over versie 5.

Daar heb ik dus een request gedaan en netjes een bevestiging binnengekregen.
Dus als meer mensen dat doen, wordt de kans groter dat het erin komt?!

Dat is wel wat Synology zegt, hoe meer behoefte aan exFAT is, hoe groter de kans.
Maar misschien dat DSM 5 dit gaat ondersteunen, zoals gezegd, maar er is nog niets bekend over V5  ::)
In beide gevallen.....even afwachten dus. ;)

Het heeft even geduurd, maar vandaag kreeg ik een bericht van Synology dat ze mijn (en vast ook van anderen) request voor exFAT ondersteuning gehonoreerd hadden.
Er is nu een Package die exFAT ondersteuning verzorgt.
Helaas nog niet voor mijn DS214play (andere processor), maar dat komt nog wel.

Although is already included in the first link I provide, here you will also find some important aspects we would like to inform you regarding the payment of the fee for Microsoft:
Software authorization can only be designated to a single Synology Account and can only be used on a single NAS. A new license must be purchased for each individual NAS if multiple NAS are to be used. Additionally, licenses cannot be migrated to another Synology Account or NAS. If you wish to use another Synology Account or NAS, a new license must be purchased. However, if there is an existing license on a NAS returned to Synology and you would like to transfer the license to your repaired NAS, please provide (1) your Synology Account, (2) the serial number of the NAS returned to Synology, and (3) the serial number of the repaired NAS returned to you to the Synology Support Team. 1.   Why it’s not free? The reason is because exFAT is a patented file system so to pay royalty fee to Microsoft is needed. Synology offers now the possibility to all our customers who might need it.
2.   For the moment it can only be purchased by PayPal as it is the most common payment solution but we are working on providing other online payment solution.
3.   Regarding the license duration: It’s permanent ... so you just enjoy your Synology NAS and all its capabilities!
