Tegelijk met update DSM 7.1 kwam er ook update van Photo's:

Updated to be compatible with Advanced Media Extensions 2.0 to display HEIC files and Live Photos. Learn more

What's New
Supports changing folder covers.
Supports searching for folders.
Supports showing the albums shared by others in search results.
Allows users to select albums shared by others to which they have Provider permissions when adding photos to albums.
Enhanced the accuracy of facial recognition.

Bug fixed
Fixed an issue where users might not be able to scroll down or view the Access Permission page of Shared Space.
Fixed an issue where the migration of facial recognition results might stop during the process.
Fixed an issue where guests might not be able to view the folder tree in the left panel.
Minor bug fixes.

dat was me nog niet opgevallen  :P

Das wel mooi, ik zette altijd maar 4 "losse " foto's om gelijke gekozen thumbnails te krijgen, zodat het boeltje toch uniform was.
Tijdslijn weergave is aan mij niet besteed, meeste van mijn foto's komen uit een tijdsperk dat dit nog niet bestond, laat staan dat er toen meta-data was...

Zo dat was ff wat werk maar ipv een thumbnail met 4 kleine foto's overal weer 1 gekozen thumbnail..
Dat staat in mijn optiek een stuk mooier en strakker...
