Access Diskstation from different computer
« Gepost op: 01 mei 2009, 01:29:09 »
Hi, I just setup and installed the Synology Server to my computer from which I am able to manage the Disk station. However when I was trying to manage the Disk Station from another computer within the same network configuration and workgroup name, the access was rejected due to time out. To access the disk station from the first computer I use this address: http://10.0.0.5:5000/ (local network) but no access is given from the second computer when I type the same address. Could it be that the port 5000 is only given to the first computer but not the second computer? Thanks for your advice.

Did you use a different ip-adres?? The same adress gives trouble in the same network. Also the pc's must have a different name.
