Titel: High CPU 100% when enabling Mediaserver
Bericht door: ivomobile op 01 april 2012, 12:07:12
Hi,
I have a DS212 whith DSM4.0-2198, Mediaserver 1.0-2197. When i enable the Mediaserver I see on the monitor that the CPU utilization goes from 8% to 100%.
the high CPU utilization is not caused by the fact that the Media-indexeringsservice is running, because this is ready.
Does anybody have an idea why the DS212 has a High CPU utilization.

I am completely lost. Is there anything I am missing ?

Are you sure that this indexing task is done?

When you double click on the CPU graph, you can see the list witch active processes.
May be you recognize something?

yes I'm sure, indexing is ready

I just reboot the system, but that didn't help either.

Is the creation of thumbnails part of indexing or a separate process ?
If there are a lot of photos the thumbnailing takes a lot of time (and cpu) ...
