[Already fixed!!]
I'm trying to integrate a Synology DS508 running DSM 2.2 (Samba 3.2.8) in a Server 2008 domain.
I joined the NAS to the Domain and joined a test computer to the domain. (The computer shows up in the AD)
I shared two folders giving all permissions to domain users.
When a Local user logs in to the test computer (or just any other computer) they can list the shares on the NAS by using \NasName and can enter the shared folder after entering login data (DOMAINdomainuser)
When a Domain user logs in to the test computer he should be able to access both shares using the "Single Sign-on" feature of a Windows Domain but that doesn't work.
When trying to access \NasName, a login window is shown stating "Unknown user name or bad password". I can't access the shares by using DOMAINdomainuser (needed for single sign-on) but i CAN access them using NasNamedomainuser.
What am I doing wrong?
//Edit:
I don't know what I did but it seems to be working correct now -_-'
Using another computer (I already tried and failed before but using some other settings server side) and It now works.
Computer I got a failure on when logging in after the last server-side changes was a Windows 7 (build 7100) installation. Windows Vista is working correctly now.
